It was a warm afternoon on Sunday, August 10, when MacLean Rankin and seven other young men were installed as the 2014-2015 State Officers. William Blake has taken on the role of the State Master Councilor’s Number Two while Steven Knott and Alexander Dyer were elected as State Senior Councilor and State Junior Councilor respectively. Bro. Rankin selected his Appointed State Officers to be installed in pairs of John Kelley, III (State Marshal) and Jacob O’Connell (State Chaplain), and Jeffery Parker (State Senior Deacon) and Robert Outly (State Scribe). This mix of experience and youth promises to be a diverse, yet effective, State Suite.
The State Master Councilor plans to waste no time in the execution of his term plan which will focus on new members, membership retention, athletics and more. One big goal for Mac is to give the members and Chapters more of a voice. “I want every member to have a say in what goes on in Massachusetts DeMolay. This organization belongs to everyone, so everyone should be involved.”
